Tribal Writers' Meet

On behalf of ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department of the Government of Odisha, the Tribal Languages and Culture (ATLC) has successfully organized 4 days’ workshop on the Tribal Writers' Meet from 25th to 28th September, 2023. In this workshop total 79 tribal writers were participated. The core objective of the "Tribal Writers' Meet" was to learn directly from the tribal communities about their culture, art, science, languages, and socio-cultural values, as expressed through the manuscripts produced by tribal writers. During the workshop, ATLC has Collected 172 unpublished manuscripts of 17 communities from 79 Tribal Writers.  In order to preserve, the original form of 172 manuscripts, ATLC has digitalized all the manuscripts which is available in ATLC website to create a valuable resource on tribal communities about their culture, art, science, languages, and socio-cultural values, as expressed through the manuscripts produced by the tribal writers for future generations and researchers.
