Inaugural

The State Level Students’ Festival “Sargiful” which was an objective to explore the hidden talent of the ST & SC Students studying in the schools under ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Deppersonalityment. The State Level “Sargiful”, 2024 was organized from 18th - 20th December, 2024 in the Adivasi Exhibition Ground, Unit-1, Bhubaneswar, inaugurated by Sri Rabi Narayan Naik, Minister of Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water of Odisha. Hon’ble Minister, School and Hon’ble Minister, Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities were the Guests of Honour of the Inaugural Ceremony. During the ceremony, Science Exhibition and Volley Ball Competition has also inaugurated by the Hon’ble Dignitaries. In the meantime Top 10 best performers SSD students who had secured highest marks in the HSC Examinations in 2024 were felicitated by the Hon’ble Chief Guest.

Competition

Student festival “Sargiful” provides a vibrant platform for students from SSD-run schools to exhibit their skills in various fields, including literature, culture, personalitys and sciences. There were two sessions in this festival; one was Workshops in forenoon-session and another was Competitions in the afternoon- session. There were 23 competitions like Instrumental Music, One Act Play, Solo Song, Solo Dance, Creative Writing (Odia), Painting, Elocution (Odia), Debate (Odia), Quiz Competition, Group Record Dance, Group Folk Dance, Open Slogan, Volley Ball Competition and Science Exhibition were organized in the afternoon session for three days. The Group Dance Competitions were held in each evening for ranks and entertainment. The Science Exhibition as one of the components and the Volley Ball Competition, the lone sports activity of the event, were held during this festival. During these three days competitions who had secured the rank; 1st, 2nd & 3rd won the prize.

Workshop

Similarly, Workshop was also a very important Segment of Sargiful to engage the students in different activities like, Tinkering, Coding, Cpersonalityoons/Comics, Disaster Preparedness by NCC Cadets, Magic, Chhau Dance, Instrumental Music, Creative Writing, Life Skill Education-Role Play, Life Skill- Puppetry, personality/Craft, (Paper Craft, Mask Making, Block Printing etc) Puppetry Making, Glass Painting/Drawing Sheet, Story Telling, Poster Development, Child Reporter, Clay Modeling, Theatre, Best of Waste, Math Games, Wall Mural personality, Letter Writing and Fashion Show, which were held in the forenoon-session.

Meet the Personality

During the Sargiful, students were inspired to interact with the personalities from different tribal backgrounds with national and international repute under the “Meet the Personality Programme”. This year Sri Mangal Muduli (Cracked NEET-2024, got seat for MBBS in MKCG, Berhampur) Sri Binod Kumar Sabar (OCS Rank-600, batch-2022), Sri Jayaram Badnaik (OCS Rank- 650, Batch-2022), Sri Dhanapati Sisa (OCSE-2022, Rank-666) and Smt Raimati Ghiuria (Honorary Doctorate award from OUAT as “Mandia Rani”) were the Chief Guest in this programme and gave lots of inspiration with love for students’ bright future.

Valedictory Ceremony

Sri Nityanand Gond, Hon’ble Minister, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Deppersonalityment, and Mass Education, Odisha was kind to grace the Closing Ceremony of the State Level Sargiful- 2024 as the Chief Guest. During this event, the “Sargiful” Magazine with contributions of the SSD students was released by Hon’ble Minister and distributed to all ppersonalityicipating students. Winners of Competitions and 87 ST & SC students who had secured highest marks in the Annual Board Examinations 2024, Head Masters of 50 best High Schools of respective years were felicitated in the closing ceremony.
